A new farm targeting at providing locally produced vegetables all-year long around Montreal
Quebec
We are a new Canadian vegetable farm run by a Chinese graduated from UK and a French engineer.
Our farm is about 25 acres with woods and fields. Currently a new type of greenhouse is finished, so we can grow vegetables all year long, even without heating. We are offering opportunities for the right candidates to stay for whole year round.
We have a two bedroom cottage in the woods of the farm, very quiet. while the basement can also be used as the third bedroom. Woofers can have their own private space.
We live in Montreal
Woofers can choose the work to do according to their interests, such as
building the greenhouse
taking care of the vegetables,
taking care of the woods
Developing a project for the farm etc.
Every little help and project to improve the farm is appreciated.
Woofers with skills of tree house building or greenhouse building are especially welcomed.
We ask Woofers for 5 hours of work per day with two days off per week and we appreciate a stay of over 2 weeks.
We can offer real Chinese lunchs and woofers are expected to prepare other meals with the cooking materials provided by us.
Our farm is located in a traditional agricultural area, neighbors have different styles of greenhouses to grow vegetables.
Access to all sorts of activities are not too far, because our farm is about 40 minutes away from Montreal city centre. We can offer free transportation service from airport to the farm.
Starlink wifi (internet access) available

My stay was characterized by a host family that was extremely tolerant of both failure and new challenges. This acceptance made it possible for me to try so many different things.
Everything from harvesting vegetables to constructing a roof was new and truly refreshing for me.
I can't even count the number of times I was helped. Thanks to everyone there, I was able to spend my time completely comfortably and without any trouble, allowing me to devote myself fully to the daily work. The host's cooking was always delicious, and the people were constantly kind, making the time we spent together very pleasant.
It felt like a short three weeks, but at the same time, it was an invaluable and precious experience.
I gained an experience that makes me feel, 'I definitely want to come back again someday.'"

Staying on Shuping's farm was awesome! She is flexible, welcoming and she cooks AMAZING Chinese food. She has a greenhouse and is currently building a second one, so our tasks included gardening and building that greenhouse. We also helped set up some yurts for future visitors to stay in. We stayed in a room in the house attached to the farm and had all the comfort you can expect in a house (bathroom, kitchen...). This was our first WWOOFing experience and we honestly couldn't have dreamt of a better place to stay.

It was truly a wonderful experience, which combined an introduction to both québécoise culture and Chinese culture. I have enjoyed the company of Judy, Emma and others woofers who each helped turned this cottage in the wood into a place of laughter and well being. A home away from one’s own. The tasks were of the gratifying kind, where one sees each day progress being made, good for body and mind.
I couldn’t be more impressed by the work Judy has done in the 2years she has had the farm, it is humbling and motivating to see such display of energy and drive.
I look forward to my next stay in Canada !

I spent two and a half incredible weeks on Judy’s (Shuping’s) farm!! We had amazing lunches every day- always new dishes and always super fresh vegetables. The accommodation and property are very relaxing and tranquil. Working with Judy was great, we got to do a lot of different jobs- and everything was very flexible! I can not recommend this farm enough, I was very sad to go and would spend more time there in a heart beat. Lovely people, atmosphere, and won’t forget it!

I had a wonderful time at this farm. I want to thank Shuping for giving me the chance to live and work together with people from many different countries. Since I am not very good at speaking English, I felt a little nervous before coming to the farm, but Shuping and the other woofers kindly taught me everything I needed to know about the work and daily life. Thanks to them, I never had any problems.
Every day we enjoyed delicious lunches made with fresh vegetables from the farm. I especially loved your tomato soup. I would love to come back again!
