We are a new Canadian vegetable farm run by a Chinese graduated from UK and a French engineer. Our farm is about 25 acres with woods and fields. Currently a new type of greenhouse is finished, so we can grow vegetables all year long, even without heating. We are offering opportunities for the right candidates to stay for whole year round. We have a two bedroom cottage in the woods of the farm, very quiet. while the basement can also be used as the third bedroom. Woofers can have their own private space. We live in Montreal Woofers can choose the work to do according to their interests, such as building the greenhouse taking care of the vegetables, taking care of the woods Developing a project for the farm etc. Every little help and project to improve the farm is appreciated. Woofers with skills of tree house building or greenhouse building are especially welcomed. We ask Woofers for 5 hours of work per day with two days off per week and we appreciate a stay of over 2 weeks. We can offer real Chinese lunchs and woofers are expected to prepare other meals with the cooking materials provided by us. Our farm is located in a traditional agricultural area, neighbors have different styles of greenhouses to grow vegetables. Access to all sorts of activities are not too far, because our farm is about 40 minutes away from Montreal city centre. We can offer free transportation service from airport to the farm. Starlink wifi (internet access) available For woofers’ life at our farm, please have a look of the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/qx9BrmMYoeI?si=tHjB6PiAbu0ArTEV

Our stay here was wonderful! Shuping is very kind and taught us a lot about farming and vegetables. She made us feel very welcome. The farm is very pretty and the house is cozy. Shuping makes the most delicious lunches everyday with fresh vegetables. We looked forward to it everyday. We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay on her farm.

I spent three wonderful weeks at the Farm. Shuping is a very vivid, friendly and welcoming person and I felt more than comfortable throughout my stay. The farm is quite new and, therefore, there always something I could help with. The work isn’t overwhelming and rather diverse and interesting. And most importantly: Shuping is a really good cook :-)

It was a real pleasure to spend the first month (march) of my trip to Canada staying with Shuping. She’s a very welcoming person, and I quickly felt at home on the farm. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I got to try lots of delicious meals prepared by Shuping ! I’m a vegetarian, and that was never an issue. The work is quite varied, even in winter, thanks to the first greenhouse. I was also able to help build the second one before I left. Shuping is a very inspiring woman; she’s full of ideas, courageous, and ambitious. I hope she’ll see all her projects through to the end !! You can visit Shuping with complete confidence, you’ll have a wonderful time.

We spent almost three weeks at Shuping’s farm and it was a wonderful and unique experience. As it was our first Wwoofing we did not know exactly what to expect but even if we did, it would have exceded by far our expectations. Our tasks were diverse and multiple from weeding, to digging tranches for new plants growing organically to building a new greenhouse! And after a day of labour we always had an excellent meal, a culinary discovery of China’s finest food. Moreover, living in that house in the middle of the woods felt like a much needed break from the outside world. It was great meeting Shuping, an impressive and very welcoming person. Vey understanding when mistakes were made and always ready to find a solution. If you want to experience a good wwoofing whilst eating the best food, don’t hesitate to apply!! People are wanted for April !!!! We hope that you’ll get the chance to try her smoked meat, words cannot describe how good it was.

My stay was characterized by a host family that was extremely tolerant of both failure and new challenges. This acceptance made it possible for me to try so many different things. Everything from harvesting vegetables to constructing a roof was new and truly refreshing for me. I can't even count the number of times I was helped. Thanks to everyone there, I was able to spend my time completely comfortably and without any trouble, allowing me to devote myself fully to the daily work. The host's cooking was always delicious, and the people were constantly kind, making the time we spent together very pleasant. It felt like a short three weeks, but at the same time, it was an invaluable and precious experience. I gained an experience that makes me feel, 'I definitely want to come back again someday.'"
