Hello WWoofers, My name is Alexandra Hepburn and I live on the North End of beautiful isles of Haida Gwaii. I live with my daughter and 1 cat and 1 husky. We have a small hobby farm, currently focused on growing organic food, and medicinal herbs. We are currently re doing the landscaping, building raised beds, a new greenhouse, putting up new fencing, building compost piles, planting, transplanting etc.. We back onto Old Growth Forest(Naikun Park), and are a 5 min walk from the glorious long sandy beach and the Sangan River Mouth. It is all spectacular! Sowing, weeding, harvesting, building beds, fencing, small building projects, moving rocks, rock walls, harvesting wild botanicals, preparing teas, botanical remedies. I like to start my day with tea and yoga, dog walk on beach, breakfast, household contributions, and gardening/wild crafting herbs in magical places. I have a room within my home and or woofers can camp on the land, which ever is preferred. I will provide food and we can all take turns cooking meals, or getting creative in the kitchen together. I love yoga, music, dancing, hiking, wild harvesting botanicals and kayaking. I have a studio room for yoga, stretching, and holistic bodywork therapies. I would love to learn more Spanish. I know a little, always fun to learn more!

Lovely place to stay close to the beach and the forest. It's a good place where you can discovery the round about. Alexandra welcome us warmly with great cooking and dessert. She knows very well the island and is always up to trail and camping. Thanks again for welcome us during our travel.

I spent 10 days with Alexandra and her quirky husky and had a fantastic time! She’s such a warm and friendly person that really makes you feel at home the second you get there. She has a lot of knowledge around medical plants and herbs and makes her own products that she sells at the farmers market. We went foraging in the forest and she took me on hikes to beautiful spots. She also has a small garden and lots of creative and fun work inside and around the house. Work never got boring and there were always several options on what i wanted to do. I enjoyed sharing recipes and cooking together, there’s always plenty of food around and she makes sure you’re well fed and comfortable. Staying at her place was one of my best experiences so far and it was really interesting to learn about all the plants that grow on haida gwaii. Bonus points for the big bathtub, so nice :P We‘ll meet again for sure!
