1. Describe your project, your place, and its inhabitants (including animals):
We are a small community with passive solar homes. We manage 4 greenhouses one of which is a geodesic dome. We have a saw mill to manage our huge wood lot with a small river running through it. We have a solar array for our power. We love our cats and dogs. All of this nestled in 320 acres of astonishing prairie and woodlands.
2. List the activities that WWOOFers will participate in and what you want to teach them:
This is a community of artists, herbalists, musicians, gardeners and wood workers. As such the variety of actives and skill sets available on a daily basis is wide.
3. What could a WWOOFer's day look like at your site (time slot for participation in activities, expectations...)?
The work load constantly shifts so one day could be yard work - painting - mowing - carpentry - building projects - foraging for plant medicines - gardening - working in the bush - etc. Music and art are also a huge part of the community and those activities would be running in the background.
4. Play the guide! Talk about your own hobbies (music, cooking, etc.) and those possible around (hiking, swimming, etc.): In addition to the music and art (3 of our members are professional artists), we live in a beautiful area in southern MB with swimming, hiking, and canoeing available.
