Welcome to our Farm As the seasons change so do the experiences and work on our mixed certified organic farm. The farm is located in the southwest part of the Saskatchewan prairie. The cultivated land grows: cereal grains, pulses, oil seeds, and forage. In addition we raise certified organic beef. The native pasture is home to a variety of grasses ,forbs and sedges where during the growing season something new blooms weekly. An abundance of wild life roam the area (deer, coyote, badger, rabbits) . For the bird enthusiast there are many species of bird including species at risk . Spring tasks are diverse , in mid April the main focus is on the cattle as the new born calves are arriving. Then on to preparation for seeding the crops and garden which involves readying equipment, seed planning and preparing the soil. Summer is haying time and tending to the garden and a whole host of other jobs around the yard or farm( weeding , fencing....) Fall brings harvest of crops and the garden and the opportunity to preserve the vegetables. In the winter a fodder system is maintained that grows fodder for the cattle. Also, time is spent on projects indoors. The farm is a family operation, husband and wife and one daughter who helps out when she can during busy times ( seeding , haying, harvest , calving). the family members are active in organic organization and groups. Often attending meetings, workshops and webinars.Always wanting to gleam and share knowledge with other organic folk. Paperwork is integral part of organic farming , therefore, if that is something that a wwoofer would be interested in acquiring knowledge about that could be offered. The local communities do offer some recreational activities :there is a museum and library within ten minutes. There are two smaller cities within a hour and a larger city within two hours. The cities offer a variety of recreational activities including cultural, music, and sports. Certifications: TransCanada Organic Certification Services (TCO cert) We look forward to hearing from you and are eager to host someone who is interested in learning about all the unique and rewarding experiences that an organic farm has to offer. I’ve spend three incredibles weeks in the Farm at Ernfold. Donna and Kevin are incredible persons and wonderful wwoofers hosts. They welcomed me as a member of their family and I was at their farm like at home. I’m very grateful for that. As a Wwoofer you have your own room and washroom, if your hungry you can every time find a homemade muffin in the kitchen, it’s was perfect. The work on the farm is very interesting (like cut out caps) and if you are like me passionate about agriculture you will learn a lot from Donna and Kevin, we had exciting discussions about our different vision of farming. Thank a lot the Beach family ! You’re are welcome in France whenever you want ! Wwoofer if you see this message, you will have wonderful moments in Ernfold !

I had two incredibly wonderful weeks. Donna and Kevin took me everywhere, so I was able to see many different things. It was very nice to have conversations with them and to tell stories. The two are open to anything. To make your day uniquely yours. They answer all questions about agricultural machinery and everything around it. I would definitely visit them again. And a big thank you from me to you.

I just laughed when I read the the Wwoof Review Guidelines: "Stick to the facts, avoid sharing personal opinions". Well, I think it is a fact you will fall in love with organic cattle and grain farming here. Donna and Kevin know so much about the land, the animals and the business of farming. They are outstanding examples of being stewards of their land but also of their larger farming community. I learned so much about farming and balancing the investments of time, effort and money along the scales of now and the future. They are both powerhouses and together can fill every role for successful regenerative agriculture (e.g. farmer, mechanic, market and direct to consumer sales, soil scientist, hydroponic grower, advocate, bookkeeper, heavy equipment operator, superb cook, the list goes on!) I am forever grateful for and will never forget my 2 week experience at this farm. Thank you Donna and Kevin!

My two weeks at the beach farm were unforgettable. Kevin and Donna are excellent hosts, sharing there extensive knowledge of organic grain and cow farming. Their dedication to sustainable agriculture was truly inspiring. I left with valuable skills and a deep appreciation for organic farming. Highly recommend!

What can we say about this farm? Lots of positive things! I had an incredible stay with wonderful hosts. They trusted me right away and I was able to live like at home. On the farm, I was able to watch calving, harrow the fields and lots of other things. We had some very interesting discussions about organic farming. I have so many more positive things to say! I'm very sad to be leaving the farm. I recommend it 4000%! Enjoy your stay if you go there !

I had a great time. Firstly the family are really friendly. They make their home yours. I learnt so much in my stay there. I saw calves born. I helped with getting twins being feed and also worked on the hydroponics. The work always interesting. Kevin and Donna are great double act, and I'll always be grateful for the time I spent with them. Dave
