Welcome to our family farm in Manitoba. We are accepting Woofers interested in learning, meeting new people and spending time on the farm.
About the farm:
On our farm we raise cattle, hens, and pigs. Our farm is pasture with wooded areas in the beautiful tiger hills of Manitoba. We are first generation farmers and built the farm up over the last 15+ years. We farm together with our 7 year old son and our neighbour. We are social and curious people. We like reading history, philosophy and other non fiction and exploring (hiking, walking in the bush, tracking, etc) . We run a direct to consumer meat and egg business and also like to source local food from other growers.
Accommodations & Food
We have a newly built 260 square foot, fully insulated cabin. We maintain comfortable and clean accommodations (no smoking, no pets, no scents)
We eat veg and meat and whole foods at most meals and like to eat meals together
Farm Work:
This time of year (September, October, November) Wwoofers help with picking eggs, preparing for winter and getting the hens from pasture into winter housing, feeding animals and helping with winter prep projects like cutting wood, putting the garden to bed, preparing for food deliveries.
