Hello and Bonjour! We are a small family Farm that grows vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers - everything is herbicide and pesticide free. We operate a CSA with delivery twice per week, as well as sell produce to local restaurants and a weekly food hub. We can take 1 single or a couple - will sleep in our child's bedroom with a double bed and nightstand. We can provide food for supper, with WWOOFER preparing own breakfast and lunch. Job duties will vary throughout the season - some weeks may be super busy while other times will be less busy. Organic methods: We are herbicide/pesticide free, with some use of a mixture of chemical fertilizer and organic amendments to the soil. Certifications: Herbicide and pesticide free, not certified organic Current projects: helping gather and prepare twice weekly CSA, weeding, planting, berry-picking, making jams for market, gathering produce for weekly CSA boxes, more. ideally we’d like a minimum of 1 week stay - we are a family with two small children (11 years and 6 years). Jeremy is the farmer and could use help throughout the farming season - depending on the time of year it may include weeding and planting (either with tractor or by hand), preparing weekly CSA boxes,  tending to tomatoes, preparing flower bouquets. 20 hours per week of work on average gives you lots of time to explore St. John’s. We live in a city parkland area with trails to the main part of the city. Pond on Farm for beautiful summer swimming. 4-5 hours of work per day on average, flexible, leaves lots of time for exploring our beautiful city. We live in a magical place! Internet access available There is no city bus access to our farm - however, we live in a greenbelt in the centre of the city of St. John's with access to park trails to take you into the city. We can likely also provide the occasional ride into town, and if the weather is good we often have folks enjoy the walk to town/or back to the farm (half hour-45 min through city park trails and city streets).

My stay with Leïsha and her family was incredible. I was made very welcome, they are simple people who like to share good times. Their children are adorable. My work was mainly weeding or planting vegetables. Leisha and Jeremy were very patient with me. During my stay I was able to discover St John's and the surrounding area thanks to the incredible flexibility of my working hours. Go with confidence

I spent two weeks at Jeremy and Leisha's farm. They were incredibly kind and welcoming and it was a pleasure to spend time with them and their family. There was a variety of different farm work, including harvesting vegetables, transplanting, and weeding. The pace was relaxed, and I had a good amount of free time to read, explore, and chat. Everyone was quite generous in teaching me about different aspects of their life, from agricultural practices to ecology to cultural and social life in St Johns. They are located ~45 min walk on a pretty riverside trail from downtown St Johns. Also - they have the best cherry tomatoes I've ever eaten!

Hi there, I spent two weeks at Leishas and Jeremys farm. I had a good time and learned a lot! I helped weeding, planting and preparing CSAs. Jeremy is very relaxed, so the work wasn`t that exhausting and I had a lot of time to explore St. John`s. Leisha and Jeremy also gave me many advices, what to see on the Island. I visited the beach and fished capelin, joined their son Linus to the forest camp and Jeremys daugther got me screeched in (welcoming ritual in a pub of St John´s). Thanks a lot for your hospility and the experiences I could make on your farm! It was a pleasure to meet you and I wish all the best for your family and farm!!! :-) Love, Nina
