My stay with Carol and Melva was truly amazing. From the very beginning, they treated me with so much care and warmth. They were always available, made me feel completely at home, and regularly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. It honestly felt more like a small retreat than work.
I had a lot of fun during my time there and learned so much — not only practical skills, but also a great deal about myself. Through the horse therapy, I gained deeper self-awareness, and I learned a lot about gentle horsemanship and the calm, respectful way of working with horses. These experiences were incredibly meaningful to me.
I was also always surrounded by the loveliest (Ninja-) cats and (squeezy-) dogs, which made every day even more special. In addition, we did a lot of woodwork, worked with horses and children, welcomed school groups, saw the Northern Lights, and had inspiring conversations about potential businesses and life with Carol and her friends.
I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone. Thank you so much for such an unforgettable and enriching time — I will carry these memories with me for a long time. 🧡

Thank you Michèle; I hope you are doing so well. Miss your good company. I've been meaning to do a review for a while, but just didn't seem to get to it. It will be fun to hear about your adventures someday! Hugs from all the animals.

I spent 4 weeks at Ravenheart and it was one of the best times of my life. If I could have, I would have stayed longer! Carol has a very big heart and I felt it right from the start. She did everything to make me feel at home and gave me time to adapt. She always made sure that I had a quiet time to myself during the day and that my stains matched my expectations and desires. The work was always done in a cheerful, happy atmosphere, and we shared a lot, including when cooking, organizing, talking around the fire, on the sofa, manual activités and look after horses... Carol also gave me the opportunity to discover a little more of Saskatchewan and it was a lovely surprise. Finally, Carol and her friends, Melva, James, the adorable horses, dogs and cats were like my second family. I miss them already! If you're not sure, don't hesitate any longer. You won't regret it 😊
Thanks for everything 💜

Clara was a true gem to host as a Wwoofer. We loved having her here at Ravenheart. And wow, she accomplished so much! We had a big list and kept adding to it. Here are just a few of the tasks Clara helped with and completed in the month she was here.
♥ reorganized the spice cabinet
♥washed down all the kitchen cabinets
♥updated and made our new website functional and beautiful (so tech savvy!)
♥completed the "muck-out" of our horse shelter after a long winter!
♥organized all of our organic seeds in the bin for the season
♥cooked a fabulous Beef Bourguignon for retreat guests
♥baked dozens of fabulous chocolate chip cookies
♥and much more!
Clara was a joy to host. Willing, friendly, wonderful with our animals, hard-working, smart, curious, creative, respectful, and adaptable. She demonstrated courage and compassion in a stressful situation with one of our beloved felines, and was interested in discovering Saskatchewan. Her steady demeanour and flexibility was a gift during times with clients and busy schedule. We are so happy she got to see a moose (thanks to neighbour Elizabeth for spotting and waiting for us to arrive) and a bear, and enjoy a hike in Duck Mountain Provincial Park, and got to see the Northern Lights!
Clara comes highly recommended! Thank you! ♥♥♥

Hi, my name is Sandra, I’m from Germany and I like ice cream… :-) I spent 5 weeks at Ravenheart and would like to give you a short description about this place. Ravenheart is more than just a farm. Those who get the chance to spend a few weeks at Ravenheart understand what I mean. It takes only a few days and you feel as a part of the “big farm family”. Ravenheart is for me like a little cosmos – discovered from Carol is it a place who is changing and developing every day by Carol, her friends and the visitors from all over the world. In addition to daily chores you have the possibility to co-create Ravenheart with your ideas, creativity and vision and be a part of this little cosmos. So you find at Ravenheart tracks from all over the world which illustrate the openness and hospitality you will get from Carol and her friends. My time at Ravenheart has shown me not only that I really love “dirt-playing” farm work or playing with power tools, I learned more about myself and above all I’ve met great people. Not that someone may come to the idea that staying at Ravenheart is more like a nice holiday trip…it’s hard work of course, but for the work you don’t get only accommodation and meals…you get the opportunity to spend time on a magic place with special people! And I heard stories from people they have seen little leprechauns… ;-) The decision to work at Ravenheart is a life changing experience - at least this was it for me. Thank you Carol!

I spent 3 weeks at Ravenheart Farms (although I originally had planned to stay only 10 days) and if I had known how great this experience would have been, I would have made myself available to stay way longer. Carol Marriott, the owner, runs a young little farm, located about 15 minutes from the city, on a quiet land surrounded by trees, inhabited by six beautiful horses, two wonderful dogs, and two cats. On the first day, Carol picked me up at the station, and brought me to her place; she gave me a tour of the property, and shared with me, in a welcoming and inspiring way, all her dreams about the future development of her magic land… I was immediately drawn into the cause, and was surprised to rapidly make myself some plans about what we could do with the high potential of this land. Carol has an incredible way to make you feel at home, to make you feel a part of her projects and at the same time, to let you choose freely what you wanna do and which projects you want to help realize. Some are long-term projects, like creating new trails in the woods, clearing the sides of the pond and creating some beaches or meditating places, helping finishing the renovation of the barn and creating a meeting place… Some are shorter-term projects; planting, weeding and harvesting the garden and the yard, creating flower gardens, painting, taking care of the horses, cooking, mowing, walking the dogs,… But more than just a place to work, Ravenheart Farms is an extraordinary place of self-discovery and personal growth. Carol is a practitioner of equine-assisted learning, is also open to a lot of different methods of healing. She is always willing to teach you something new, and so is the growing circle of friends who revolve around the spiritual centre of Ravenheart. My stay at Ravenheart has been a true enriching and mind-opening experience for me, and I found there a like-minded family of friends. If you are willing to work in nature, help realize creative projects and open your mind to new experiences, this place is for you.
