At our home we have Icelandic horses, cows and a big family veggies garden. We love to share our knowledge on how to maintain a garden and canning and preserving food. We bake some of our bread at home. At times we have a few pigs.
You do not need riding experience to wwoof here, there is lots of other stuff to do.
You could whatsoever have helped in a veggies garden at home or know a little bit about tools and handyman stuff. We share the meals and live together like a family. We do offer a friendly room, laundry service and we have an apartment style accommodation in our home for your stay. Please come with clean clothes to prevent the spreading of any diseases :-)
We are located on the end of the road at the doorstep to wildlife and nature. Hiking and being in nature, reading or taking pictures could be all part of your days off as well as there are regular trips to the Kelowna / Vernon area. In summer floating down the Shuswap river is fun. In winter snow shoe hikes can be done from the farm. In the evening we often play card or board games.
We do try the best everyone has a nice stay and good times to remember.

Organic methods: Strikt grazing management, fertilizing with manure and organic matter, selective weeding, biological fly control
Certifications: Our Icelandic Horses are gaited riding horses. They are used for riding and breeding and sometimes competitions.
The pigs are raised in a humane way with lots of veggies and fruit and space to run.
The small herd of cows are Lowline Angus Cattle. They grow up 100% grass fed / hay fed and are happily outside. Our cows are raised for breeding and meat, not milk.
We produce a lot of our own food here on the farm in our garden and greenhouse.
Upcomig projects: We plan to paint part of our house and/or rejuvinate the barn later in 2026. Other than that planting and maintaining our garden, taking care of the everyday stuff and help to take care of the animals.
This year we do not have pigs.
Samples of things to do: Feeding and taking care of animals. Help in the garden and greenhouse - Help with canning and freezing and juicing mainly in fall. Baking bread for all of us, some house cleaning.
It could also be helping with a building project and putting up burning piles and
stacking fire wood or cleaning a paddock.
If you have experience with riding there is a good possibility to help with horses.
Please accept that our farm is a horse training facility and for this reason we can not give riding lessons to people with no horse experience. We hope you'll understand.
There is always something to do.
