If you believe that work should always be both fun and creative then this is the place for you.We are located in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, very close to the Vermont border and very easy to reach by bus from Montreal. There is a fabulous swimming pond on the property, lots of wonderful walking trails and we are terrific cooks and eat super well here. Just take a look at the comments from other WWOOFers. The spring is a very interesting and busy time and we could really use some help now.Abbondanza is a small but extremely diverse farm that offers WWOOFers the opportunity to learn about many aspects of food production and sustainable living. All of my work is based on protecting our agricultural heritage and getting people involved in growing their own food and supporting local agriculture. There are several food gardens, a small orchard and a greenhouse where we produce seedlings for sale in the spring-mostly heirloom tomatoes and then use the greenhouse to grow tomatoes and peppers all summer. There are chickens and turkeys!  There is a also an active woodlot management project on the property. In addition we run the weekly Farmers Market in our local town. Many years ago we added educational workshops to the farm activities and they are going strong. So there is always something fun and interesting going on.There is high speed internet access, a great collection of CDs and DVDs and we love to play music. It is my great pleasure to share my knowledge with others and to learn from them in return. I believe that WWOOFers have a rich and FUN time at my farm. Just look below at what the folks who have been here have to say!We speak both English and French. Organic methods: We are not certififed but use the same practices as an organic farm. Certifications: Use the same techniques and approaches Internet access available

Hello to everyone , I spend almost four weeks in march at the fabulous Abbondanza Farm. With March being the start of the season and lots of snow this year due to this crazy winter I helped with snow shoveling, bringing firewood in, caring for the chickens, seeding and getting the greenhouse ready. But helping at Gwynne's farm didn't feel like work more like helping a family member. We were out snowshoeing, visiting her friends and family and we were at a very interesting evening about seedsaving. Food was amazing and the bed is so comfortable that you would like to stay there. Too bad that I couldn't use the swimming pond as there was still ice on it;-) And besides all this I learned so much about growing vegetables, sustainable living and the area as basically on no other farm. In the end I can definitely say that this was one of the best wwoofing experiences I had.

Being at Gwynne's farm was one of my best wwoof experience. I consider Gwynne as my Canadian Mother, she teached me so much that I am currently writing a book that I hope to finish by the end of this year. On top of that she is a Super Great Cook. I discovered so many good food and as a large eater, of course I gained weight ;) On top of that thanks to Gwynne, I met terrific people. The Mansonville market was cool and fun. She is an inspirational woman and a role model. I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn farming to go to Abbondanza Farm. Thank you for making my canadian wwoof experience simply the best. See you next time somewhere in this crazy world :) Aline.

We loved our experience at Gwynne Farm. We have maintained the gardens, participate in the harvest to make the market on Saturday morning. This market is a superb experience. Gwynne is a very nice person, who makes discover very willingly his region and his close relations. She is also a very good cook, we discovered new vegetables. We stayed for three weeks and recommend going to Gwynne Farm. Julie and Marc

I really enjoyed my time at the farm. Such a peaceful place to be.. What a nice nature it is in. The pond! Go there! Learn! Found it inspiring to see the plants/vegetables/flowers/herbs/... grow from a seed to a transplantable "thing". Working there felt like doing something meaningful, being connected to nature. I got to meet so many nice people (greetings go out to LENA and DAVE). Saw and did so many new things (maple on sugar is the best candy this earth ever created). Gwynne is extremely intelligent and has a good taste of music. The most important thing: the food is delicious and healthy at the same time - can you believe that? So all in all, very recommendable, even in WINTER which had a great comeback in April........
