Columbia River Little Lambs

Mystery Lake Ranch is a small 80 acre farm situated on a bench overlooking the beautiful Columbia River and Rocky Mountains. We raise lamb for market and we have a handful of sheep and raise the lambs alongside their mothers. Myself and my partner recently purchased the farm from my parents, and we have been here since the fall of 2025. We have 2 Great Pyrenees,  Rosie and Doug, they live outside and guard the farm. We also have 2 Pitbull cross rescues that are indoor dogs but spend plenty hours outside with the animal's and Pyrs. We can always use help with brushing our dogs, painting and staining, fencing, picking rocks, building projects, firewood, pulling noxious weeds and regen, gardening and harvesting, cooking, cleaning barns and general farm and yard work. Accommodations are spare bedrooms in our home with shared meals. Jubilee is busy running a Environmental Consulting company and outside consulting work, and Donald works a local cat ski operation. WWOOFers should be independent and able to understand simple directions. Our area abounds in great outdoor activities such as downhill and x-skiing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, etc. They both enjoy being in outside and working on the farm! Come check us out! Organic methods: Don't use pesticides. Meat products raised naturally. Noxious weeds are pulled and eradicated w/o chemicals. Certifications: We raise our lambs as naturally as possible without medications in their food. They graze on our own pasture which is not chemically fertilized. Current projects: Getting firewood, cleaning the barn, planting the garden, harvesting it later, general work of staining, minor construction and maintenance of buildings, weeding, pulling noxious weeds. I stayed at Mystery Lake Ranch for two weeks and it was just perfect ! I felt really confortable in the house and the meals were delicious. The tasks were diversified and clear and I was never bored. Jubi made me visit Golden, Don took me fishing and we had visit from friends and neighbors so I felt really included and part of the life here ! The dogs are adorable and it was really fun to take care of the sheeps. All the animals here are really happy and treated with care and love. If you're looking for a place to learn new skills, take time for yourself in great landscapes and live beautiful moments just go there !

Thanks again so much Lilly and B ! I had a smooth time at your farm. It really flew by since the discussions were so rich. Helping at the farm was a wonder, hands in the earth and mind floating elsewhere, further and further away from daily life problems as the days went by !

We had an amazing time with Lil and B! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived, we are so grateful for the experience! The farm has such a beautiful view, lovely hosts, and animals. Big love to Rosie and Basco (the dogs) and the sheep of course! Thanks Lil and B for these moments of laughter, for teaching us so much about farm work and for the lovingly prepared meals! We look forward to seeing you again!

I had a very nice time at the Farm. Lil, B and there family are one of the kindest people I ever met. Furthermore they have tow beautiful and funny dogs which I have also learned to love very much. The farm is clean and organized and you have a great view. I had my own room which was very nice. But the best thing for me was Not only to work, but that we also went to a lake or to the city and did something. All in all was it a very beautiful time there and I really recommend.

I had such an amazing time at the beautiful Chinadoll Farm with Lil and B! From the first day on I felt like being part of the family in their beautiful home in the Mountains. We did set up the whole garden within the two weeks I’ve had the honour to be there, beginning from fencing, seeding and planting to watering and harvesting the first veggies - I’ve learnt so much about gardening, forestry, animals and our beautiful nature from Lil and B. Such an enriching and fun time, the first days I also helped with feeding the sheep and I was able to watch the little chicken grow during my stay. We’ve been cooking delicious dinners every day, yummy cake and had a million other good things out of their garden. I am happy I’ve found that amazing place and family and would recommend everyone wanting to become more aware and closer to nature to stay at the chinadoll farm, you will love it!
