Our farm along the banks of the picturesque Peace River, has springs, a creek, forested hiking trails, & abundant wildlife. On our holistic managed, ecological, organic forage based farm we raise alfalfa seed and leafcutter bees, for pollinating our alfalfa seed crops. Busy times are seasonal which allows for various work duties & leisure activities.  We are very passionate about sharing knowledge of farming(over 40 years of raising field crops and livestock), regenerative ecological economical agriculture consultant(specializing in mineral balancing soil and perennial forage establishment)health, and the history of the Peace Country.   We look forward to meeting you and sharing with you a farm experience, knowledge and a rural Alberta lifestyle. Don't hesitate and go!! They are very kind and welcoming people. Peter is very interesting and has lot of knowledge on how manage soil and run an organic farm. Work was low and fair - I think it depends on the period. I really enjoyed sharing time and diners with members of their famillies and others wwoofers. I had sooo much fun!! Again a big thanks for everything!! It was really too short - I am already missing your funny crazy stories :D All the best & take care

I stayed with the Lundgards only a couple of weeks and but I can say it was worth to come. They are extremly kindhearted, welcoming and entertaining people and they will make you fell at home. Furthermore they are reallyy knowledgable and you will guaranteed learn a lot at their place. Even though it was quiet time and not so much to do I could experience some new things. Dealing with leave cutter bee cocoons, alfalfa seeds or ski-dooing with cows was exhausting but enjoyable :D. They really appreciate your help and you will have a good time there! There are also a lot of different animals around so there is much to learn with them as well. I really enjoyed my time with them and can only recommend all thw wwoofers to come around and visit. And yes there are even some Northern Lights around :D Thanks you guys it were two lovely weeks! Cheers Tim

Thank you so much for the great time I had on your farm!! To be honest the northern lights were a reason why I wanted to go to the Nature's Way Farm and even though I saw them (for the first time in my life, it was amazing) they were not the reason why I didn't want to leave but the amazing people there! I learned a lot about food, where it comes from and why organic farming is so important and we had very interesting discussions about politics and the influence of agriculture. I drove a skidoo for the first time, moved cattle (just by calling them, which I think is pretty cool) and had my first tiny carpenter experience. Peter and Mary even took me to Tumbler Ridge for a couple days and we went to a Young Agrarians meeting (where we made our own pizza) which was both a lot of fun!! So if you think about woofing on the Nature's Way Farm I can only recommend it, the Lundgard's are amazing, kind people and you're going to enjoy it for sure. I'm going to miss you guys (and Simon :P)! Lots of love, Lea

I want to say thanks here as well. It was a great time! (The time was flying by and five month were over - unbelievable). You have to work hard, but there for the family and the rest of the time is really nice. I enjoyed my first really cold winter here. The family integrated my into their life and I learned a lot of new Things (specialy about food). I hope to see you again. Greetings Lea

Dear Lundgard family,First of all, thank you again for giving me so generously the most incredible experience of my life. Your passion for what you do and your convictions helped me a lot, not only agriculture side, but also in my personal life. You teach me life. Honestly, there is not a day since my return when I did not have a thought for you. I miss you a lot! So to you, dear Woofer looking for an enriching experience, I highly recommend you this family united by a common passion; The love of agriculture. It's a huge privilege to have spent 2 months of my life with you. Despite the fact that it was too short, I hope to see you soon ... my parents in Alberta :) Martine xxx
