Greetings Wwoofers! It appears we have enough wwoofers for the 2026 season. We hope you all find good farms to visit.
We are a small but thriving organic blueberry farm on beautiful Vancouver Island (670 bushes). We have twenty beautiful acres, an acre of organic blueberries, plus vegetables, apples, free range chickens, ducks, 3 sheep and 13 acres of amazing cedar-fir forest to enjoy. Three generations live in the two houses on the property. We have a very friendly chocolate lab and Great Pyrenees.
Our farm is between the ocean and the mountains on Mid-Vancouver Island. You will learn by working beside us, and watching us care for the blueberries, greenhouse, poultry, orchard, and vegetables.
We ask to help 4-5 hours per day, for a total of 25 hours per week - usually 8:30-12:30. We prefer for wwoofers to stay 2 - 3 weeks. We sometimes make exceptions for shorter stays. Just ask.
In August, besides the blueberries, we also have vegetables to weed and harvest. We also do work taking care of the forest. Carpentry projects happen... We welcome wwoofers to take turns helping with dinner preparation and ask for help with clean up, a few times a week. Dinner is our main meal, and we all eat together. (Outside in summer). Dinners are one of wwoofers' favorite times together. We provide food for breakfast and lunch for wwoofers to prepare and eat together.
We have a beautiful large room with lots of space and high speed internet. It is used at other times as a dance, school and concert space. Wwoofers gather there for internet access, to have fun together, watch movies, play cards, hang out. Your sleeping quarters are simple, comfortable and private. The big room has a modern bathroom - and we also have an old-fashioned outhouse. Wwoofers stay in a simple trailer with two beds, a small cedar sleep cabin, and some even prefer the privacy of their own tent with a mattress. The big room has all the modern conveniences and is open to you at all hours. This has been working very well. We have portable lights, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows - everything you need to sleep comfortably.
Tourists flock to this area because of our beautiful waterfalls, trails, 800 year old trees and ocean beaches. Bicycles supplied for you to explore. You'll love swimming in the ocean and the rivers and lakes - which are perfectly clear and crystal clear. Vancouver Island is a very special place!
We love it when wwoofers enjoy each other's company, no matter how different your background! Because there is so much beauty around us, we are flexible so you can enjoy it all. You are generally off on Sunday, but it can be arranged to be another day. The afternoons are free so you can visit these awesome places - and swim!
You can get to many of the beautiful locations by bike - which we provide to all. We also make sure that you see the major sites in our area - including Cathedral Grove, Little Qualicum Falls, Englishman River Falls, Cameron Lake. We are only 10 minutes to the ocean beaches. Wwoofer enjoy longer hikes in the mountains on weekends.
Organic methods: We have 660 blueberry bushes which we care for naturally, without artificial sprays or chemicals. The bushes are thriving! We are organic but not certified. If you have carpentry or construction skills, we have plenty of projects we would like help with. Thanks for being willing!
