Located near the beautiful Moose Mountains in southeast Saskatchewan we operate a small scale, grass based livestock farm on native prairie. Our farm offers a wonderful opportunity to explore our tree filled ravines and discover evidence of life in Saskatchewan before European settlers, such as First Nations teepee rings and buffalo rub stones. We are trying to live a self sustaining life so our farm is constantly evolving. We have a variety of animals such as meat and egg chickens, turkeys, pigs, beef cows and Jersey milk cows. All animals live on pasture and are regularly moved to fresh grass. Jobs range from feeding and moving animals to milking cows, yard and garden work. There is work for people of all skill levels. We are experienced travelers and understand what it is like to be in a new land. We love meeting people and sharing in their customs. Warren can speak basic German and Spanish. Welcome! Organic methods: We don't use pesticides of any kind on our farm and we employ the Holistic method of grazing. Certifications: We are not certified organic Current projects: Milking cows, feeding and moving animals, caring for chicks and calves, building fence. Internet access available

I stayed three weeks at the farm and had the absolutly perfect farm experience! I learned how to feed chickens, helped milking the cows and butcher chickens and so much more. The Neuman family is great. They reay made me feel home and we had some good laughs and discussions as well as interesting cribagge nights. I enjoyed every moment there. Thank you guys so much!

Right now I stayed at Warren and  Jamie's house for two month. I enjoy every day and learned so much about cows and food. They are a very good cooker and their meals are fantastic everyday. The kids are so cute and lovely?

I stayed at Jamie's and Warren's farm for two weeks and had the best wwoof-experience ever. Jamie and Warren are very friendly, welcoming and openminded hosts, who made me feel at home from the very beginning. I learned so much about raising cows, pigs and chicken and also about gardening. Milking a cow for the first time and picking up baby-chicks from the post office are an experience, that I'll never forget. Warren is a great cook. I enjoyed fantastic meals with selfmade produce like cream, butter, yoghurt, cheese and bread. We had great conversations about organic farming and sustainable living. Ella and her little sister Daphne made me laugh and feel to be part of this happy family. Though they are both hardworking and focused, Jamie and Warren are easygoing and fun to be with. I wish, I could have stayed longer, and I hope, that I'll get the chance to see my new friends again.

I spent a little over 3 weeks with the Neumans in February/March 2013 and I had such an amazing time! I had a couple of other wwoofing experiences but neither of them compared to the experience I had in Saskatchewan - the time I spent with them was everything that I expected wwoofing to be! Warren, Jamie, Ella, and even little Daphne just make you feel so much like a member of the family. I had the opportunity to venture away from the farm on errands and for gatherings so I got to see the surrounding area and meet the local people. Warren is a wealth of knowledge and everyday there was something new to learn about, compare and contrast, and discuss - sometimes it was related to farming, but not always! The farm itself was wonderful as well - Warren & Jamie truly live off the land to the best of their abilities! And if you are interested in an organic based lifestyle, they know all about it! I had such a positive experience with the Neumans and I really miss their family and farm! If I ever find myself back in Saskatchewan, I will be sure to stop in and visit them!
