I spent a month (February) with Lisa and Alain and had an amazing time. All the animals are incredibly friendly and in the winter, the daily tasks mainly involve feeding them and cleaning the horses stalls. The food was absolutely wonderful, Lisa cooked something delicious almost every evening and most of the ingredients came from the farm, even in winter. Whatever problem arose, Lisa and Alain were always there to help, which made my time on the farm truly enjoyable. I stayed in a little, simple apartment above the stable, where I was responsible for my own breakfast and lunch and sometimes supper. Lisa always made sure there was enough food and fulfilled any request I had. Lisa and Alain normally speak French, but since I only speak English, they communicated with me perfectly in English. Everyone visiting the farm was very friendly, and I felt like part of the family. Thank you Lisa for such a wonderful time wishing you all the best!

My stay at the Ferme Cabriole was absolutely amazing that I decided to stay longer! Lisa was so awesome she taught me so much. From learning how to properly brush a horse to how to interact with them! Lisa and the other wwoofer spoke English with me! Even tho it’s not their preferred language they tried really hard no matter what the situation! Lisa is very artistic and loves to show people how to make different types of art! I would highly recommend to people as long as you are willing to put in the work!

I spent three months (mid-June to mid-September) with Lisa and Alain on their lovely farm. I did a variety of tasks around the farm, including feeding the animals, cleaning their enclosures, bringing in hay, and working in the garden. I helped out with the summer camps and horse riding lessons, as well as participated in creative workshops like pottery and wool transformation. I was also able to take some riding lessons and go on trail rides, which was amazing. It was hard work, but I learned a lot during my stay on the farm. Meals were mostly eaten separately, but food was plentiful, with lots of farm fresh produce and meat from the farm. I enjoyed the homemade woodfire pizza nights and community gatherings during my stay. Accommodation for WWOOFers is above the barn. The apartments are simple and rustic, but you have everything you need, including plenty of hot water for showers :) I really enjoyed working alongside other WWOOFers, as well as the knowledge and experience Lisa, Alain, and their friends shared with me during my stay. Thank you again for the great experience!

I decided to leave eralier than planed. First I had a good feeling after I talked about it with Lisa. But shortly after our conversation it seemed to me that Lisas behaviour me became more and more passive aggressive. It finally ended up in shouting at me. I understood her disappointment because they were planing to have my help, but I do not feel this reaction if someone wants to leave earlier is okay. I felt more like cheap labour and rather than a helping hand who they would share ideas and knowledge with. The accommodation was in poor condition so I was very happy when they offered me a tent I could use. The food was good and plentiful. I found it necessary to speak french even though they say English is okay. Besindes one other wwoofer nobody was really eager to talk to me in English.
