Volunteer With Us – 2026 Placements (Minimum 2 Weeks) Join us on 300 acres of peaceful Alberta ranch land where horses, gardens and big skies shape daily life. Stay, work, learn and immerse yourself in authentic ranch living. We are seeking energetic, positive helpers who enjoy meaningful work outdoors and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Ranch life isn’t 9–5; weather and seasons guide our days. We have weather delays due to most of our work is outside so we quit when its raining/snowing and then go back out when it stops so days do not follow a 9 -5 schedule. Projects include: gardening (permaculture & food forest), building raised beds, fencing, yard work, painting, general ranch chores, office help, and occasional support during retreats or camps. Experienced horse people may assist with light training and programs. Helpers stay in our cozy bunkhouse (shared accommodations, basic food provided). English fluency is required for safety. We value kindness, initiative, teamwork, and zero drama. If you want to live close to horses, land, and wide open skies — and ask, “What can I do next?” — we’d love to hear from you.

I had a wonderful time staying at Diane’s ranch. I felt very comfortable and welcome from the beginning, and I really enjoyed the work and the daily ranch life. Diane is such a kind, caring and lovely person, and I learned a lot during my time there. What I appreciated most was how peaceful the whole experience felt. Being at the ranch allowed me to slow down, be present in the moment and step away from the fast-paced world for a while. It was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for, and I’m very grateful for the time I got to spend there. Thank you, Diane, for this wonderful experience!

I had such a wonderful time at the Wellness Ranch with Diane and the girls who were there at the same time as me. I was there during the horse-riding camp season, and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better time to visit. I absolutely loved everything about those three weeks — waking the girls up for breakfast, doing groundwork with the horses, campfires with the kids, and going on trail rides every day (and sometimes even a surprise evening ride with Lee, Diane’s son, or Mikaela, her granddaughter). Everyone was absolutely wonderful! We also had the chance to visit Rocky Mountain House and attend the local wagon race. One thing is certain: I left with a heart full of happiness and so many wonderful memories. If the opportunity comes up, I would not hesitate for a second to go back. Diane, thank you for your endless generosity and for everything you did for us.

I had a wonderful stay at the Ranch with Diane! Diane is a very welcoming, warm -hearted and lovely person. The chores were a variety of different tasks and changed throughout my stay. I mainly did some maintenance things such as painting, cleaning, some Berry picking and horse feeding and preparing stuff for the upcoming camps. The little cabin where the wwoofers stay was also really nice- cozy and relaxed and because of the other woofers there I always had nice company. There is also a really sweet cat that might gives you company when you are sitting on the deck! I can totally recommend a stay with Diane and wish all future wwoofers lots of fun!

I had a wonderful time at Diane‘s ranch! We spend the whole day in the nature and experienced the wildlife (a owl family was visiting 🥹). Spending so much time with the horses, showed me so much about their personalities and natural behaviour. It was such a gift to lern about the way Diane lives and how she works with her horses. She is such a strong and inspiring person. I learned a lot about gardening, horses, teaching, relaxing and cooking. Living together with the other volunteers was a lot of fun too. Thank you so much for everything Diane. I would love to visit the ranch again!

I had a lovely 3 weeks with Diane and some other girls volunteering. We did lots of horse work and gardening. I was grateful for learning lots of new things about horses. Diane is welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. I really recommend Ranch Wellness! I was a beginner with horses but I never once felt bad about it, Diane taught me a lot. We stayed in a cabin and it was really lovely and well equipped. Overall, was such a great stay, I am so happy I was able to come!
