Our gardens are planted and starting to grow , the orchard is blooming and summer is coming., this is our favourite time of year and we would like to share it with you.
As a WOOFer you will take part in most aspects of our farming operations, along with daily chores and activities alongside us. There is always a variety of things to do on our farm, such as; planting, picking, producing products, packaging or maintenance.
In our busy season we are picking fruit, vegetables and producing products for sale, so its a great time to visit our farm.

Marketing skills
Things we produce are: jams, jellies, peppers jellies, salsas, syrups, juices, sauerkraut, herbal teas, herbs and freeze dried foods etc. You can participate in helping with the production, packaging and labeling of all our products. New is our Freeze Dried Candy, Snack and Foods business, There is lots of fun things to do, our WWOOFer favorite is Freeze Drying Ice Cream as we have up to 10 flavors of Ice Cream in stock, used to make the Freeze Dried Ice Cream.
You will need to have clothes suitable for working on the farm both very warm weather and cooler days. We will supply any tools, gloves and bug sprays etc.
A big part of our lives are our three dogs (Miley, Issie and Maddy) and our cat Journey, the dogs love to go on daily walks through the forest and like as much attention as they can get.
If you choose to come to our farm we ask that you fit yourselves into our schedule, learn to do the daily tasks required for the day and participate in as much as possible. We ask that you become a part of our family and that you accept our customs and traditions.
Projects that we need help with:

-cleaning and freezing fruit
-making jams & syrups, salsas, sauerkraut etc
-freeze drying and packaging foods
-weeding and maintenance of orchard and gardens
-cutting fire wood
-walking dogs
-snuggling the Journey our cart.
Meals at our house take place in our main flour kitchen and dinning room area or outside if its nice out. Everyone takes part in setting the table, preparing, serving and clean up afterwards.
Evening Meal: Rennie and I will cook, we enjoy cooking and my husband is a fabulous baroquer and smoker of meats which I am sure he would love to share with you. I have lots of Vegetarian and Vegan recipes as well to share with you. Breakfast and lunch we will supply your groceries and left overs so we all work together to as a group to prepare those meals. The coffee and tea are on in the morning so you can help your self. Once your done eating you you all help with cleaning up your dishes and food prep area.
Accommodations when you stay us.
We have the lower level of the home set up for WWOOFers where you will have a bedroom, bathroom and sitting (TV) area.

2 camper trailers that you can make your home, equipped with small kitchen, couch, and bedroom with 1 queen sized bed,
You can enjoy our outside areas with a fire pit and sitting area and while in season you may want to enjoy the swimming pool.
It is your responsibility to keep these are clean and keep your laundry done on a regular basis, we also have a washer and dryer for your use.
Internet access available once you arrive we can set you up with the password.
Our location is central to Edson, Whitecourt, Drayton Valley and Spruce Grove all being within 1 hour drive to educational and entertaining attractions: North Saskatchewan River Rafting, Music Festivals, Golfing, Jasper National Park, West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton Science Center, Alberta Beach, Seba Beach and much more.
