We are a cattle ranch in the remote Chilcotin region of British Columbia. My husband, our two children and I welcome you to be part of our family and our operation. Our ranch is located 250 km west of Williams Lake. On our ranch you will learn everything about ranching. You will help out with all the ranch activities such as:Calving, feeding, cleaning stalls, fencing, trail cutting, land clearing and clean up, field work, haying, branding, irrigating, cattle drives, horse back riding or what ever else is needed to be done at the time. We also have our own vegetable garden and a greenhouse were we produce goods trough out the summer months. We milk our milk cows by hand. I make our own cheese, butter and yogurt and could use some help there as well. You will also be involved in the everyday chores around the house. Everyone helps everybody! We live in the wilderness. There is no cell phone service, our home offers free WiFi. There is no shopping, meeting at the cafe or going out on Saturday nights. Our community associations provide us with some events. Tatlayoko Lake is not far from our place and we enjoy the lake in the summer.
Certifications: We are not a certified organic farm, but we are a grass fed operation. Don't use any chemicals or medicated feed. Eat as much as possible of our own products.
