Welcome to our 50 acre family farm located on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We grow a variety of vegetable crops ranging from asparagus to zucchinni. We have vegetables growing on just over 12 acres. We have been increasing our fresh produce production and sales in the course of the last 10 years. We partner with other farmers in the community to pool our resources for sales, equipment and labour. Our farm team works under Farmship Growers Cooperative, we grow and sell the produce from the farm. We offer lots of opportunities to work as a team and join forces with local volunteers to grow more of this wonderful food. We are eager to share the experience we have gained in growing crops organically over the years. We are looking forward to enrich our growing community with your organic farming experience and culture from abroad. Our family speaks French and English at home and we are open to learning a few words in other languages as well. The region is filled with opportunities to experience the rich natural beauty of the Pacific Coast of Canada. Organic methods: We have not certified yet but we have been using organic methods for a 18 years plus. We use growing methods that respect the land, the water, our pollinators and other beneficial beings. Good soil, compost, water and sunshine are the main ingredients we use, if our plants need extra nutrition we use only OMRI compliant supplements in our fields. We offer safe, clean, locally grown food for your household. Current projects: Season starting in full swing with seedings in March, repotting and transplanting season March April and May. We also have crops from the winter production still available, transplants and fresh greens that we are taking to market once per week this spring.

I had a fantastic time on the Farm. Isabelle and the team are warm, accommodating, and great to work with. The farm team was super friendly, and I really appreciated having my own private room in the farmhouse. Work ran 4 days a week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with a 30-minute break). The daily routine was nicely varied—harvesting vegetables, weeding, and prepping CSA boxes. Joining the local farmers' market on Sundays was a absolute highlight for me! Plus, being able to use the fresh farm produce meant I ate healthier than anywhere else on my trip! Thank you for everything. I would love to come back anytime!

I had such a wonderful time on this farm! The work was hard but fair, and I learned so much while having a lot of fun with all the other people working here. The work everyone does on the farm is truly amazing, and it was great to be part of it. I worked four days a week, seven hours a day, and had three days off, which was really nice because it gave me plenty of time to explore and do things outside of work. I also had my own room and plenty of privacy, which I really appreciated. Isabel and Ian are both incredibly kind and caring. They always want you to feel comfortable, have a good time, and be able to enjoy things outside of work as well. And don’t be shy about talking to them! Even though Isabel is always very busy and has a lot to do, you can always approach her if you need anything. The people I worked with were also absolutely wonderful, and I made some great memories here. I would definitely recommend this farm to anyone, and I would come back anytime. Thank you for such a great experience! 🤍

My first experience with WWOOF, I spent the month of June working at the farm where I stayed in the family home with Isabelle and Ian. During this time I felt they had welcomed me into their home as if I were one of their own. The work on the farm was so rewarding, no two days were the same. Something that made the experience so special to me was how amazing and friendly the whole team were at the farm. The abundance and variety of different fruits and vegetables grown at the farm is amazing and they taste great too. An awesome addition to my adventures in Canada, will remember this experience for a lifetime.

I gained a lot of insights into the routines of an organic vegetable farm during my two-week stay there. The farm sells veggies on a market once a week and gets orders from local restaurants. Also people can register for CSA boxes. So there is always a lot to do in the fields like harvesting, weeding, planting and pruning, and at the barn washing and preparing the harvested veggies, weighing, packing the CSA boxes or restaurant orders, drying herbs, cutting garlic etc. I worked a four-day week of eight hours a shift with a lunch break of half an hour like the whole team of permanent and seasonal workers do. I didn't stay at the owner's place but had my own bedroom plus shared bathroom and kitchen in another house on their property with two other women. Sharing an apartment with them was great, excellent company and shared meals, but also freedom outside working hours. At the farm I liked the good team spirit in all weathers and the variety of things to be done. Outside work I enjoyed a lot of cooking with fresh from the field veggies (+ apples and eggs) and good talks with fantastic people there! A little downside if you can call it that, I've had Wwoofing experiences were more food, or meals, were provided, but I didn't mind that much and it would be a matter of communication. Thanks to everyone there making my Wwoofing such a memorable experience!

I spent a few weeks on Isabelle's farm and really enjoyed it. The work is relatively hard but fair and the staff are so funny and positive that you can't help but enjoy it. In addition to the work, there is a lot to experience and Isabelle and her family are always ready to help you. The food and accommodation are also very good. All in all, absolutely recommendable!

I spent 3 weeks at Isabelle's farm and I enjoyed every minute of it. The work was varied, from weeding to harvesting over working in the barn and on the farmer's market nearby - every day spent with this amazing team was rewarding. Especially Lianne and Abbie never forgot to express their appreciation for our work at the end of the day. Isabelle is such a generous and caring person - just simply a super host. If you get the chance to get to this farm and you are a happy to live in a remote place in a lovely farm house - go for it!
